My Social Studies class has been talking about migration for two weeks now. My teacher read a poem in class and then asked us to write a poem that had to do with moving. This is what I wrote...
Today's the day
I move away,
From all the pain and sorrow.
From the poor
And all the war,
I leave my little burrow.
I say good-bye
and start to cry,
I'd hate to leave you now.
But I'll be back
To pick up the slack
And say good-bye once more.
